Professor Antonio Martins brings over 23 years of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu experience to The Agoge, having trained under some of the most respected names in the sport, including Ricardo "Kiko" Velloso, Carlos "Manimal," and Alexandre "Gigi" Paiva. A 3rd degree black belt with a competition record spanning national and international podiums, Antonio has built his reputation on technical precision, relentless work ethic, and a genuine love of teaching the art.

Antonio teaches both Gi and No-Gi across our Adults and Kids programs, bringing the same discipline and technical depth to every student on the mats, regardless of age or experience.

Whether you're chasing your first stripe or your first medal, Antonio's approach is built around one idea: fundamentals first, everything else follows. On the mats, he's known for breaking down complex techniques into details anyone can apply — regardless of experience level.

Outside the gym, Antonio continues to compete and refine his own game, bringing fresh insight from the mats straight back to his students at The Agoge.
